Between Books and Flavors: Jack Edwards, Clare Yeo, and Ana Jú Discover Porto Through Food at “Sala de Prova”

After a visit to Livraria Lello, where they had the opportunity to explore Ai Weiwei’s A4 space, the Manifesto Library, and the Sala Gema, Jack Edwards, Clare Yeo, and Ana Jú, three influencers in the world of literature and content creation continued their tour of the city of Porto for a very special lunch.

The destination was the “Sala de Prova” restaurant at Time Out Market Porto

The destination was the “Sala de Prova” restaurant at Time Out Market Porto, at the São Bento station: a space dedicated to discovering the region’s wines and cuisine, located at the top of the tower designed by architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, winner of the 2011 Pritzker Prize.
At a height of 21 meters, with a spectacular view of the city, Jack Edwards, Clare Yeo, and Ana Jú gathered there for a lunch that brought together literature, culture, and Porto’s cuisine.

Lunch with a view of the city of Porto

At the “Sala de Prova” restaurant, the experience begins before you even sit down at your table. Its location at the top of the Souto de Moura tower offers a unique view of the city and sets the stage for an experience where wine and cuisine take center stage.

It was in this setting that the guests were able to enjoy a lunch marked by fellowship and sharing, following a morning dedicated to books and culture at the Most Beautiful Bookstore in the World, Livraria Lello.

Margaret Atwood attended the session at BABELL, Cidade-Livro

Lunch preceded the rest of the day’s cultural program, which included participation in BABELL—Cidade-Livro and the opportunity to attend a session with Margaret Atwood, one of the leading voices in contemporary literature and author of the book *The Handmaid’s Tale*.

From architecture to literature, from books to wine, the experience spanned various forms of cultural expression and revealed a city that invites exploration through its many facets.
Ana Jú recently posted a video about her visit to the city of Porto. You can watch it here.
