"As Mãos da Avó" (Grandmother's Hands) book launch—a children's book by Inês Cardoso

Through memories, gestures and flavours, As Mãos da Avó invites us to return to childhood and the simple wisdom of the rural world. On 15 May, at 9 pm, Livraria Lello will host the launch of this book, written by Inês Cardoso and illustrated by Susana Matos, in a session moderated by Capicua.

Through the attentive and amazed eyes of a granddaughter, we are taken through the days spent in the village with her grandmother — between making cheese, cultivating the land, sewing patchwork quilts and traditional rituals. A narrative where learning is mixed with tenderness and time seems to stand still to appreciate what is essential: affection, roots, and the little moments that mark us forever.
