Ilda Figueiredo is a figure of honesty, conviction and dedication. She has served in the Portuguese Parliament, the European Parliament and the local authorities of Vila Nova de Gaia, Viana do Castelo and Porto, where she is a councillor. She is a staunch defender of freedom and peace and has taken these causes to schools, universities, associations and communities from north to south of the country and even abroad.
‘Como punhos para decifrar o futuro’ (Like fists to decipher the future) is a tribute from 70 people, including writers, painters, friends and comrades who see Ilda Figueiredo as a force of nature. Coordinated by Agostinho Santos, this tribute features contributions from various personalities from across the country, including Siza Vieira, Valter Hugo Mãe, Mário Cláudio, Sobrinho Simões, Isabel Pires de Lima, Zulmiro de Carvalho and Domingos Loureiro.
The session will be moderated by Sérgio Almeida and will feature contributions from Fátima Vieira, Agostinho Santos, Rui Pereira, José Rui Teixeira and José António Gomes.
