LIVRARIA LELLO INAUGURATES EXCLUSIVE EXHIBITION OF SAINT-EXUPÉRY BRACELET
On the 10th of May, Livraria Lello, in partnership with the Antoine Saint - Exupéry Foundation, celebrated the 80th anniversary of the launch of the book The Little Prince holding an event that featured a program filled with tributes to one of our bestsellers.
This event encompassed several actions, with emphasis on an exclusive exhibition of the Bracelet of the writer of the work, Antoine-Marie-Roger de Saint-Exupéry, found in the Mediterranean. The piece will be on display at Livraria Lello, which is completely dedicated to one of the most read and translated books in the world: The Little Prince.
Finally, a special commemorative edition of the Little Prince's book was launched, with exclusive content provided by the Saint-Exupéry Foundation. The book, in addition to being printed in striking colors, was produced in softcover with closed pages, as is tradition. Pages can be opened with a custom bookmark that comes with the book. There is also a 'chapter' printed on white paper with exclusive materials provided by the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation.
Of the French and English editions, there are respectively 260 and 525 copies numbered and signed according to the special print run of the first edition of 1943. The copies will be signed by the Administration of Livraria Lello and by the grandnephew of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
