Mint Water Bear's "Korean Gems" Book Launch

Korean Gems follows the love story between a Portuguese man and a Korean woman through three stages of life, set in South Korea. In Amethyst Turtle, we meet them as young people, blossoming with passion and mutual discovery.

In Emerald Dinosaur, now in middle age, they face the challenges of parenthood. Finally, in Ruby Haetae, we follow the elderly couple as their adult daughter struggles to find meaning in a world threatened by ecological and social crises, marked by corporate greed.

In a presentation attended by Mário Cláudio, Jorge Bellon, and Mr. Tongue—the artist behind the book cover—we will discover an intimate novel that combines love, ageing, and social criticism with a poetic and sensitive gaze.
