ENTRANCE TO LIVRARIA LELLO

Pacheco Pereira, author of the month, meets again with the iconic Quadratura do Círculo panel

pp
António Costa, António Lobo Xavier, Carlos Andrade and Livraria Lello's Author of the Month for October, José Pacheco Pereira, will come together again at Livraria Lello, on October 25, at 21h30.

Next Friday, October 25, Livraria Lello will host the oldest Portuguese political debate: the Quadratura do Círculo. On the occasion of the Author of the Month, José Pacheco Pereira, the Most Beautiful Bookshop in the World will bring together four of the commentators who have marked the history of the program “Quadratura do Círculo”, first broadcast on SIC Notícias and currently under the name “Princípio da Incerteza” on CNN Portugal. Pacheco Pereira joins António Costa, António Lobo Xavier and Carlos Andrade in a unique meeting.

The challenges facing Portugal and Europe and the current political and social dilemmas in a deeply complex international context are some of the themes that will form the basis of the conversation between the four personalities. There will also be an analysis of the work of José Pacheco Pereira, author of more than a dozen books on history and politics, and one of the greatest guardians of the country's collective memory, through his “Ephemera” project. The work of archiving, preserving and sharing documents of great historical value has been recognized as a true public service, perpetuating Portuguese history and culture for future generations.

José Pacheco Pereira began his political career when he was still at school. Among many posts and missions, he has been a member of the Portuguese Parliament and the European Parliament, and a leader of the PSD. The author is a regular contributor to the written press, radio and television and writes for his blogs: Abrupto, Estudos sobre o Comunismo and Ephemera.

A decade after the end of the panel on the “Quadratura do Círculo” program, this will be an unparalleled opportunity for the public to once again enjoy the comments of António Costa, António Lobo Xavier, Carlos Andrade and José Pacheco Pereira. The conversation will be broadcast live on CNN and TSF.
