Next Friday, 15 November, Livraria Lello will host Pepetela, November's author of the month, who will be in conversation with journalist Sérgio Almeida.
Artur Carlos Maurício Pestana dos Santos, known by the pseudonym Pepetela, is renowned for books such as Mayombe, Yaka and A Geração da Utopia, his works characterised by political criticism and an appreciation of national identity.
Winner of numerous prizes such as the National Literature Prize (1980 and 1985) ; Camões (1997) - Brazil/Portugal ; Prinz Claus (1999) - Holland ; Universal Galician Writer (2007) - Spain ;
