Thirty-four years of special offers to Diário de Notícias subscribers, one of the oldest and most important of national newspapers, brought together in 12 volumes, all bound with leather spines. Running from 1866 to 1899, this complete, old and valuable collection gathers works by acclaimed Portuguese writers: the second volume (1867/1868), includes the short story O Parente de Cinquenta e Tres Monarcas, by Camilo Castelo Branco, and the fourth volume (1871/1874) the short story Singularidades de uma Rapariga Loira, by Eça de Queirós. Pinheiro Chagas, Fialho de Almeida, Alberto Pimentel, Cesário Verde and Guerra Junqueiro were some of the other authors published in these Brindes aos Senhores Assignantes of the Diário de Notícias.
